So, I don't have any finished projects today, but I do have a couple in the works. The one I'm going to show you today a childs hutch that I am planning to turn into a kitchen for Little Monkey. I bought this from a friend who was moving, she wanted to do the same thing I am doing, but didn't have the time. Here is what it looked like when I got it.
I cleaned it really good with a bleach/water solution, heavy on the bleach because there was some mold. Then I primed it. Here is what it looks like now, all primed and ready for paint.
I was hoping to paint it yesterday, but I got sidetracked by something else, which I am hoping will be ready to show you on Friday.
I am planning to paint it white with the back red, and what will be the counter top, red as well. I am also going to make a little curtain for the top shelves. I can't wait to get it done and believe me, neither can Little Monkey, she asks about it 20 times a day! Guess that means I better hurry!
Have a great Wednesday!

Melissa, when we were kids, (long, long ago) my mom cut the bottoms out of the cans and then they looked like they were new (after they were washed out). Now adays, they have such cute little "foods" that you can buy. I suggest that you make an apron for her, she will love it!
ReplyDeletewhat a great find mel. Lm is going to love that. Can't wait to see the end result
