Something Grand......

Something grand happened recently!  A friend of mine, Mrs. H (the one who makes great woven rugs) started selling her rugs at Michie Tavern, in Charlottesville, VA.  The buyer for the Tavern asked her to pass on her name and number to any friends who make things.  So, last Thursday I met with Ms. Labry and she placed an order for 24 flower clip/pins and any headbands I could get done!!!  I am so excited!  You can see their website here.

For those of you planning a trip to the area, Michie Tavern is a must!  They serve tavern fare from 11-4 each day, and let me tell you, the food is really good!  There are four shops, all sell locally made, and made in Virginia items.  The Tavern is also close to Monticello, and Ash Lawn Highland, both great places to visit!  You might remember this post, about our recent trip there after apple picking!

The really exciting part for me?  Miche Tavern has placed another order for 24 satin flowers, and 24 headbands due in April!!  I will be busy making headbands starting in January, they take quite a bit of time to make, but they are so fun!
Hope you all have a great week!!

  1. How wonderful Melissa! I know you will do a great job. It is rewarding to see your thoughts turn into designs and then into a finished product. I saw a headband with a feather and then finished with a string of rhinestones down the feather back, you could do that. I can look up where I saw it if you want... Blessings on you and yours.

  4. Congratulations! It would be fun to get big orders like that instead of making a few and hoping they sell. Good luck to you and have fun!
