Gitter Done Inspired Project and Sweetness

Wednesday I was reading a post by Donna of Funky Junk Interiors about her horror of a mess in her garage and how she was inspired to Gitter Done!  For those who don't know Donna, she hosts the Gitter Done Party once a month.  I was chuckling as I read her post, then I shut the computer down, and it was time to get on with my day and clean up the kitchen.  That's when it happened.  I found my own horror of a mess.  In my kitchen cabinets, 3 of them to be exact.  I was trying to find room to put things up, and realized it just all needed to come out and be reorganized.  Here is the mess in all its horror:
Who could find anything in this mess? The sad part, some of it is already on the counter!

I use dry erase markers to label things so I don't forget what is in the containers

Much better right, look at all that space!

So much more organized!

Now my favorite mixing bowls are much easier to get to!

I picked up this basket last week for $1 at Goodwill.  I wasn't sure what to use it for, but I quickly found a use!  I had several boxes of crackers, cookies, and other snack items that were almost gone, but not quite.  So I picked up a box of snack size zip lock bags, and divided them up into portions I deem okay for my Little Monkey to eat as a snack.  These are special occasion snacks, something I can throw in my bag and go, not every day snacks.  It really cleared out a lot of space by doing this.
So, thanks to Donna for the kick in the pants to get all this done!

On another note, Thursday was my first day having 3 infants in addition to my Monkey, crazy? Certifiable!  They are 12 weeks, 6 months, and as of Thursday, 1 year.  It wasn't bad, except for the fact that Little Monkey got sick.  She and I got up at 3:30 am, she finally was able to get back to sleep around 7, by then the one year old was here already, and the other two were to show up soon.  It just made for a long day.  In the afternoon I had to have Hubby come home and take Little Monkey to the doc, it was harder than I expected, I am always the one who takes her.  This was Hubby's first time, of course it went fine, I worried for nothing.  Afterward they stopped and picked a few things for me.  Hubby knew it had been a rough day, so he brought home flowers, and knowing my love of maps, stopped by Kirkland's and found this decor ball.

Sorry, not the greatest picture, it was late, and I was tired.
He gave them to Little Monkey, and she proudly handed them to me with a hug and a kiss.  It made everything okay again.  I was still tired out of my mind, and it had still been a rough day, and Little Monkey was still sick, but there was a smile on my face, and a good attitude, and all was well.  It is really amazing how something little like this can just make the difference on a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day (to borrow from a favorite childrens book).  I hope you all are having a good week, and if not, I hope someone turns your horrible day upside down and makes it good again!
