Oh No!!!

Remember last week I showed you all this great little dresser?

Well......I made a mistake.  Apparently I put the serving tray on it too soon.  When I picked it up to clean under it, this is what happened.

I know, I almost cried.  I was so irritated! (insert head smacking here!)  I could not believe I had done that!  I knew I should put some felt "feet" on the bottom of the tray, but forgot to buy them, so...  Anyhow, I quickly contacted one of my very favorite bloggers, Marian at Mustard Seed Creations.  See, she does furniture refinishing regularly, and is truly amazing at it!  After explaining what happened, she told me to go ahead and sand a bit, fill the places where the paint chipped, and repaint the top.  After all that, let it dry for a time, then give it 3 coats of poly acrylic.  That is supposed to keep the paint from chipping off and sticking to things, plus it will help keep it from getting scratched up so easily too!  All that, that's my job this week (weather permitting of course).  I'm planning to start sanding today, and hopefully by the end of the week it will be all done!
